자연 속 모든 물질은 열역학 제2법칙에 따라 우주의 완전한 평형인 ‘열 죽음(heat death)’의 순간이 도래하기까지 끊임없이 변화하며, 이 과정에서 무질서도 엔트로피는 계속해서 증가한다. 시간에 따라 흘러가는 우리들의 삶 또한 마찬가지이다. 사회 속 개개인은 일련의 변화들을 마주하게 되며 이를 통해 익숙했던 일상은 새로운 무질서를 맞이한다. 이러한 변화는 우리로 하여금 긴장감과 불안을 일으키며, 변화는 비가역적이다. 위태롭게 떠 있는 유리잔들은 컨베이어 벨트를 따라 느리지만 꾸준하게 돌아간다. 흘러가던 유리잔들은 주위를 떠도는 구조체를 만나 흔들리며 변화의 순간에 맞춰 깨어진다. 안주해있던 현실(관성)이 깨지는 순간 느끼게 되는 긴장감과 두려움, 그리고 그 변화의 너머에는 다음의 깨짐을 위한 연속된 긴장감이 다시금 기다리고 있다. 완전한 죽음에 이르기까지 일어나는 깨짐의 반복 속에서 변화의 파편들은 각자의 기억 속 서로 다른 형태를 지닌 채 쌓여가고있다.

According to the second law of thermodynamics, every substance in nature progresses in the direction of increasing disorder, the entropy, until it reaches the optional natural equilibrium state of the ‘heat death’. One’s life which flows in timely manner follows the same law. In society, one faces sequence of changes, and leads to the entropy. Such transformation brings anxiety and it is inevitable. Precariously floating glasses move along a conveyor belt slowly yet constantly. Moving glasses face surrounding structures and break in the time of change. Anxiety, as the moment of inertia breaks, and another anxiety await with the sequence of changes. Until the complete death, one’s memory piles up in a different form with fragment of changes followed by the array of breaks.
